Wow! I really love working with the Cider Team at Microsoft. Believe it or not, I like Seattle area too. I’ve felt very much at ease during the entire transition from Charlotte to Redmond and have been integrated into my team already.
I’m very fortunate to be on a team with many veterans who are willing to come along side and provide advice and guidance. Our team is very close knit group. We eat lunch together 3-4 times each week. I can’t imagine a better first two weeks anywhere.
Like many of you, I have been blessed to work at several outstanding companies and with many super people. So the first paragraph of this post does not take away or diminish my previous career choices. In fact, I still miss the Marine Corps even thought I’ve been out over 20 years.
After I get my feet really wet I’ll provide some more information on working at Microsoft.
Have you ever thought about joining the Microsoft Team? Are you passionate about Microsoft technologies? If your reading this blog I know you LOVE WPF!
The Cider Team has three current openings. You can read the job postings here: Cider Team Openings.
If you have questions you can place them in the remarks of the blog entry or email me at: moleproject@yahoo.com.
Sorry my blog has been silent. I’m moving into my new permanent place next week and should be back to normal (what is that???) after that.
In the next day or two, I’ll be releasing my XAMLPowerToys Visual Studio 2008 SP1 Add-In here on my blog, including source code. It’s a set of power toys that are used while editing XAML. Many very cool features and big time savers.
This weekend I’ll be finishing my Ocean platform. Ocean provides metadata management, code generation and full business application libraries for WPF & Silverlight. This will get my WPF Line of Business Application Series back on track.
I’ll be speaking at the 15 November 2008 Raleigh, NC code camp. Last year we had 14 or 16 MVP’s and 4 RD’s and many awesome developers. This will be one for the books also.
Hope you had a wonderful summer, now let’s get some cool code written!
Have a great day.
